Epson Expression Home XP-310 - Nozzle Check

If you have poor quality print, run a nozzle check to confirm the print head is blocked.

  1. Make sure the printer is powered on.
  2. Press the home button.
  3. Press the arrow buttons to cycle through the menu until you find Setup.
  4. press the OK button.
  5. Press the arrow buttons to cycle through the menu until you find Maintenance.
  6. Press the OK button.
  7. Press the OK button again.
  8. Press the Green Start button.
  9. A nozzle pattern will now print.
  10. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines.
  11. Follow any further instructions on the LCD Screen.

Epson Expression Home XP-310 - Head Cleaning Routine

If the nozzle pattern has any gaps, then a head clean may help to clear the blockage. A head clean takes ink from the cartridges and flushes it through the print head. Do not do too many head cleans as this will use up all your ink.

  1. Make sure the printer is powered on.
  2. Press the home button.
  3. Press the arrow buttons to cycle through the menu until you find Setup.
  4. press the OK button.
  5. Press the arrow buttons to cycle through the menu until you find Maintenance.
  6. Press the OK button.
  7. Press the arrow buttons to cycle through the menu until you find Head Cleaning.
  8. Press the OK button.
  9. The Power light will flash to indicate the printer is running a head clean.
  10. Follow any further instructions on the LCD Screen.
